What is CBD?

CBD is a naturally occurring compound found in cannabis. Unlike THC, the effects of CBD are non-psychoactive meaning that you do not get “high” from it. It is one of the most abundant cannabinoids found in the cannabis plant and is thought to possess many health benefits. Please see our CBD guide for more information.

What does CBD do?

As CBD is sold as a supplement, we make no direct medical claims about any of our products. We believe, based on research, that CBD can promote wellness by interacting with the endocannabinoid system (ECS) and other systems which work together to encourage homeostasis (bodies inner balance).

Is CBD safe?

Yes, CBD is very safe to consume. The safety profile of CBD has been well established and it is not possible to overdose. It is also non-psychoactive meaning it will not get you “high”. Our oils are carefully prepared in a state of the arts lab here in the U.K. They are then third party lab tested to ensure it contains all of the essential cannabinoids, terpenes, fatty acids and vitamins and is without any unnecessary chemicals, heavy metals and pesticides.

Will CBD show up in a drugs test?

No, drug tests only test for THC which is the psychoactive compound. All of our products contain less than the legal limit of 0.2% THC, which means you will not fail a drug test.

Who should not use CBD oil?

If you are pregnant or breast-feeding or under 18 you should not use CBD based products. There is not at present, enough data to support the safe use of CBD by these people.

Does CBD interact with my medication?

CBD has been known to interact with some medication, especially those that are metabolised by the liver such as warfarin, theophylline and clobazam. We advise that you speak to your doctor or pharmacist before considering use of CBD products.

Is CBD legal?

Yes, CBD is completely legal in the U.K as well as many other countries in Europe and North America.

How do I take CBD?

There are many ways to take CBD based products and it really depends on the individual. One of the most effective ways to take CBD is sublingually (under the tongue). See our CBD guide for more information on dosing and routes of administration.

What is the difference between broad spectrum and CBD isolate?

CBD isolate is pure CBD without any other cannabinoids present. Broad spectrum distillates contain CBD + all other cannabinoids, terpenes and flavonoids which means that it is more of a whole plant extract. That is why distillates are more effective, as the compounds work together to give rise to the ‘entourage effects’ which enhances the effects of CBD and makes it more beneficial.

Is CBD a medicinal product?

CBD is only licensed as a medicinal product for us in seizures and MS (multiple sclerosis). It is not licensed for any other indication at present. CBD is only sold as a healthcare supplement and is not intended to be used to diagnose, treat, or prevent any illnesses. We advise you to do your own research and seek professional advice before use if you are unsure about CBD. We are also here to give expert advise whenever possible.
